Vodafone wanted a next generation programme that would deepen awareness of the rapidly evolving technology landscape and its impact on how we live, learn and communicate; reimagine the relationship between customer and technology in new and innovative value propositions; and develop the change skills required to ensure Vodafone stayed relevant and competitive in an increasingly borderless ecosystem
The Vodafone Technology Excellence Programme was a two module programme where the first module focuses on responses to Vodafone’s current challenges such as changing demand (enterprise customers), changing technology and changing operational pressures and imperatives. The second module looks further out and examines the emerging world, particularly user (customer) evolution, new business models, and the implications and consequences of a mobile world.
Both modules convened a brilliant team of teachers, practitioners and facilitators, from Vodafone, Imperial College and a network of our partner institutions, companies and consultancies. The Technology Excellence Programme introduced Vodafone’s technologists to a wealth of provocative and stimulating ideas inside a safe environment that facilitates dialogue and encourages their application to real world business challenges and opportunities.
The programme concluded with a Dragons Den-type experience where participants pitched an idea for an enterprise value proposition to a panel of venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and senior Vodafone leaders.
